This Privacy Policy explains how CCM Productions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of the Atlas Pins application and the website at pinthefun.com, collects, uses, and protects your information. By creating an account or using Atlas Pins, you agree to the practices described here.
When you sign up for and use Atlas Pins, we collect the information you provide, including:
We use your email address for account verification (confirming you own the address) and to send transactional notices related to your account, such as verification codes and important service messages. We do not sell or rent your email address.
Account emails are delivered through a third-party email provider, Mailgun (Sinch), solely to send these messages to you. Mailgun processes your email address on our behalf for this purpose and is not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
If you turn them on, Atlas Pins can send push notifications to your device or browser — for example, when a friend drops a pin, when someone messages you, or to remind you about a pin you’re attending. Notifications are optional: you can enable or disable them at any time under Settings, or in your device or browser settings.
To deliver notifications we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). This processes a device “push token” that tells the service where to send the alert, together with the alert’s content — which may include a short preview of a chat message or a pin’s title — so it can be displayed on your device. Firebase acts on our behalf for this purpose only.
Atlas Pins is about meeting up in person, so location is central to the service. When you choose to share it, we collect your approximate location — for example, the coordinates of your home area or a location you enter — to show you nearby pins, to place pins on the map, and to power the “public pins near me” feature. When you create a pin, the chosen venue’s location is part of that pin.
Sharing your location is optional and you control it in your settings. Your precise coordinates are never shown to other users; other people only see the general area you choose to display (such as your city) and the venues of pins you create or attend. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
Atlas Pins is a social app, so some of your information is visible to other users according to the audience and privacy settings you choose. Other people may see your display name, username, profile photo, bio, badges, the pins you host, and — when you attend a pin — your appearance in that pin’s attendee list (which you can limit or hide in your settings).
The service includes direct messages and pin group chats. The messages you send are stored so they can be delivered and shown in the conversation, and are visible to the other participants. Message history may remain available to participants even after a connection ends or a pin’s event has passed. Please use good judgment about what you share, and don’t post anything you wouldn’t want other users to see. You can block or report another user at any time from their profile or from a pin.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Atlas Pins. During signup we ask for your date of birth and, optionally, your gender identity. We use this information to enforce our minimum-age requirement and to power optional event filters that let hosts limit a meetup by age (such as 21+) or gender (such as “guys only” or “ladies only”).
Your date of birth is used only to calculate your age for these purposes and is not shown on your public profile. Your gender identity appears on your profile only if you choose to make it visible in your settings.
This information is self-reported. We do not independently verify any user’s age, gender, or identity, and we do not perform identity or age verification. The event filters are provided as a convenience only; please see our Terms & Conditions for important information about event restrictions and user responsibility.
We share limited personal information with trusted third-party service providers so they can perform functions on our behalf. They may use your information only to provide these services to us, and not for their own purposes:
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account and associated personal information yourself at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account, or by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process verified deletion requests in accordance with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Atlas Pins uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences (such as whether you’ve dismissed a prompt). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our security and delivery provider, Cloudflare, may set essential cookies needed to protect and serve the site.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Connections to Atlas Pins are encrypted with HTTPS, account passwords are stored only as salted, hashed values (never in plain text), and access to your data is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Atlas Pins after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact CCM Productions LLC at [email protected].
